Dark Valley Porter is about a seventeen year old girl and her ten year old brother fighting to escape an abusive household. It's a very deep and emotional story with a little bit of everything, there's some thriller, some mystery and a touch of romance but mostly it is a character driven story deeply entangled in love and loss. 

The idea for this book came to me when I was twelve years old and I started it and rewrote it countless times and then December of 2023, I made the decision that I would finally finish it and that version is the book that's out there today. Over the years the characters became more than characters for me, they became people. People whose stories needed told and whose voices needed heard.
